Considering he is not a huge fan of loud noises (remember those fireworks??) we weren't sure he would like the loud "choo choos," but he liked to tell us when the trains were coming and every time we stopped, he would say, "again!"
Despite the rain that was predicted, it turned out to be a beautiful (HOT) day, which is good because we had to wait in quite the line for the tour boat.
When we finally came to Statue of Liberty, we went outside to get a better look. Ben seems less than impressed in these pictures, but I think that was only because we were making him take his eyes off of Lady Liberty.
Are you pouting in that picture, Ben?
We headed home after the boat ride, but that wasn't before our stroller decided to stop working. We couldn't get the break off! Ben had fallen asleep in my arms, Simone was in the baby carrier, and Andy dragged the double stroller back to the subway and then back home. :) We did stop for a quick lunch, which Ben slept right through. (Side note, excellent customer service from Britax had a brand new stroller sent out overnight!!)
I can't forget to mention the delicious treats that Andy brought home the night before from Rocco's. Ben and I don't pass up anything with berries on top!
In between eating and sleeping, Ben made sure to get in plenty of Simmy time. (Theo was out and about with Patrick for the day.)
Sweetness.
