We Love Weekends!

I'm going to try and cram two weekends in to one post.  :)  It's Sunday night and I have LOTS of pics from the last few weekends.  I got a new phone a week ago Friday and I won't even say how many pictures I've taken since that time…

We didn't have a lot of plans these last 2 weekends, but that doesn't mean we didn't make sure they were jam-packed with fun!  Last weekend, I was on call (boooooo) and had to go in to see 2 patients.  Ben came with me and he was such a patient little helper.

Meanwhile, this guy snuck in a little early morning nap.  (Look at him in his big boy carseat!!)

After work, we went to the first day of our favorite farmer's market.  It did not disappoint!  Cookies, whole wheat sourdough bread, apple donuts, and apple cider were some of the highlights.  Oh, and throwing rocks in to the river and seeing a train if you ask the boys.

After the market, we went to Home Depot so Andy could get stuff for the fence he was building in the front yard.  These two monkeys had a blast.  I nearly had a heart attack watching them climb and hang on everything!

Ben had been begging to go to the pool, and I decided just to pick up a little pool at the hardware store. It's supposed to be a hot summer and I imagine I'm not going to always want to go to the pool, so why not bring the pool to us?  Ben was SO excited and after several watering cans full of hot water, the pool was an acceptable temperature.

Between the pool and the water balloons, we had two happy little fish!

On Saturday night, I had a rare night out with one of my friends.  Andy's partner at work had tickets for "Kinky Boots" that he wasn't able to use, so my friend and I went to dinner and the show.  It was so good and so fun!!  I don't think the boys missed me too much.  ;)

I didn't get home until after 11:00!  I can't remember the last time that happened.  Of course, the boys were still up bright and early!  Somehow, making it to mass at 8:00AM is never a problem.   After donut Sunday, it was building time for the boys.

Well, for some of the boys.  Joshy preferred to snack on pretzels.  Me too, bud!

I can't remember what else we did on Sunday, but I'm sure it was fun!  I just asked Andy and he can't remember either.  On to next thing I have pictures of…our mid-week zoo trip!  The zoo is typically only open until 5:00, but every once and awhile in the summer it is open for special evening events, so us working parents like to take advantage!  All I had to say to Andy was "food carts" and he was in!  The boys were such good eaters that night I literally almost started to cry.  Joshy ate mac and cheese for the first time and I was SO excited!  Ben ate almost an entire grilled cheese and I didn't even have to ask him to take a bite like 300 times.

We checked out the "larger than life" bug exhibit.  Ben was a little leery of the giant, moving bugs, but he ultimately thought they were pretty neat.

However, nothing excites the boys more than the train!!

I think I will leave this weekend's events for another post.  Time for bed!  Thanks for reading and have a great week!!

30 Weeks (6/6/2016)

How far along: 30 weeks! These weeks go so fast!  I can hardly believe we will have another baby soon!!  We are trying to decide when we should make the move of having Josh and Ben share a room.
Maternity clothes: You bet.  All dresses!  Still shopping even though I only have 2 months to go!  I should probably slow down there…
Best moment this week: I officially have a c/s date!  8/8 it is!  Just like I was hoping.  :)
Movements: He has been SO active lately.  I love it.  He actually just nearly kicked my laptop off my lap!  (I am more convinced than ever it is a boy!  If we had a name I would go as far as getting HIS name put on to something…)
Sleep: Joshy has been waking up at night and not going back down easily.  No, no, no!!!! I hope he gets his wakes up out of his system before baby arrives!  We cannot have multiple children up all night!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Labor signs: No
Exercise: I do a DVD in the morning if I'm up before the boys--- no not too often this week!
Looking forward to: Well tomorrow is already Friday so I'm looking forward to the weekend!  We've got a lot going on and of course, I just love weekends.  I already have my next doctor appointment this coming Tuesday.  I'm down to every other week for appointments!

Memorial Day Weekend 2016!

Ooops! I never published this.  This was last weekend and hopefully I'll get to this weekend before next weekend, if that makes sense!

What a weekend!  The boys are now officially done with school for the summer.  Their last day was Wednesday.  Ben was bummed and wanted "4 more days" and Josh must have been bummed too because they checked the "a little fussy" box for the first time ever on his daily report.

They both had such a great year and I can hardly believe how much they've grown in 8 short months.  Look at how little they were in September!  All of their teachers had nothing but great things to say about them.  (I got to pick them up for their last day!  Ben was SO excited!)  Unfortunately, it turns out Joshy was probably a little crabby on his last day of school, it was because he wasn't feeling well.  He ended up having a fever and then threw up overnight.  Poor baby!  I truly hate when my boys are sick.

He seemed better by Friday evening and then Saturday morning he was back to his old self.  Both boys were up before the sun.  We kicked off the summer farmer's market season, went to the garden store, the fruit store, and the hardware store all before 10:00AM!  The boys were such great helpers all day.  Ben helped pick out the flowers at the farmers market and used the shovel that he insisted my mom buy for him at an estate sale because it was "just the right shovel and just the right size to help daddy."  Love that boy.  And if Ben does it, Joshy wants to do it too!  It is so cute when he copies Ben's every move.  EVERY SINGLE MOVE!  I love how much he loves his big brother.

After planting, we attempted to fly Ben's kite, but unfortunately there wasn't enough wind thanks to all of our trees. :)

Unfortunately, Ben crashed later that day and had his own fever.  :(  Sad boy, sad momma.

He had a fever, but of course did not want to take any medicine and he said he felt fine and wanted to go to the park.  That's probably one of the last things I would want to do with a fever, but Ben doesn't have time to be sick.  The only way we could get him to take some ibuprofen was to go to the park.  And as soon as the med kicked in, he looked like this:

After the park, it was early to bed with fingers crossed that the fevers and bad germs were GONE.  Thankfully, both boys were happy and healthy in the morning.  We went to church and breakfast before we made an impromptu trip to the zoo.  The weather was perfection!

After the zoo, we went to our friend's 40th birthday party.  I didn't take many pictures, but they had a putting green in their backyard so both boys were happy campers.

On Monday morning, we got everything ready for the Memorial Day Parade!  Although it was supposed to rain all weekend, the weather could not have been better.  We had reserved some spots at the parade the day before because it gets so crowded.  We had a pretty big group so I'm glad we had plenty of room.

Joshy was taking the whole parade in.  He was pretty serious for most of it, but he seemed to like it.  He loved the marching bands and of course the candy!  At one point he was double fisting suckers.  He would take a few licks and then end up dropping one in the mud.  This continued until we took the suckers away.

Finally, we ended our super weekend with our first swim of the season.  Both Ben and Josh were in heaven.

We were all beat by Monday night but oh so thankful for a long weekend.  Hopefully the rest of the week will go as quickly as our weekends seem to go!

29 Weeks (5/30/2016)

How far along? 29 weeks!   I feel like I really popped this week.  I feel like I'm definitely bigger than I was with Josh.  The photo isn't showing up for my 29 weeks with Ben, but I imagine I wasn't as big as I feel now!
Maternity clothes: I just just found a bin full of summer clothes from when I was pregnant with Ben---yes!  I can continue wearing dresses daily. :)
Best moment this week:  We had such a fun, long Memorial Day weekend.  My goal is still to blog about it, but we did so much that I know it will take me awhile to capture everything.
Movements: Yes.  It feels like less movement that with the other 2, but I've decided that's because I have less time to relax and wait for the little kicks and rolls.
Sleep:  Sleep has still been pretty good, but I am more tired these days!  The boys have been playing so hard that they slept until 6:00 or later the last few nights.  Crossing my fingers that they keep that up!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Labor signs: No.
Exercise: Slowly but surely doing my DVDs as long as the boys aren't up at 5:00!
Looking forward to: I'm always looking forward to the weekend!  We also need to get working on our baby names!  We have 2 boy names that we both agree on, now it's just deciding if we want to add more names to the list.  We should also probably have a girl name--- just in case!
