Honeymooning!

Although we had approximately 100 different honeymoon destination ideas, I am glad we made the decision to do a Wisconsin road trip!  We headed to Door County on Monday morning following the wedding.  Still a snow free state, we had a nice smooth drive up to Fish Creek.  We stayed at the Thorp House Inn and we were the only people staying there.  In fact, we may have been the only people in Door County.  Just kidding, but it was definitely quiet!  We explored a bit and relaxed a lot.  Door County was rather desolate, but we were able to find a few great and open spots.  Thanks to our fabulous friends Ian and Maggie, we enjoyed a DELICIOUS meal at the White Gull Inn.

We went to a couple wineries, which were great, but after visiting every locale that was open for the season, we decided to continue on our little tour of Wisconsin.

Next stop: Sundara Spa!  I had heard about Sundara before, but had never really looked into it too much.  The idea just so happened to pop into my head and we were so glad it did!  We had possibly the most relaxing time we have ever had in our entire lives...ever.  It was hard not to relax.  It is basically a requirement to be in a robe at all times.  We had amazing massages and spent HOURS in the "quiet" room.  Pictures are only allowed in your own room, otherwise I would have taken a lot of pics!  Just picture huge windows, comfy couches, a good book (or nook!), calming aromas...and don't forget you're wearing an over-sized spa robe.   Heavenly.  The spa itself is situated on 26 acres, primarily wooded, and the first day we were there we saw 7 deer outside our window.  It doesn't get much better than sitting by the fire, watching it snow (snow entered the scene around Wednesday), sipping on some vino from previously mentioned wineries, and of course, a robe!  Oh, and the best part, your hubby/ best friend is by your side!  We will definitely be revisiting that little slice of heaven!
